Mackie’s of Scotland is a family business who make their award winning ice cream on their farm in Aberdeenshire. Your Energy Source completed three Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) applications for biomass boilers for the office and staff accommodation, all of which gained acceptance within just three weeks.  Gerry Stephens, Finance Director, said “ We are a vertically integrated business and it is our ambition to become self-sufficient in renewable energy. Your Energy Source completed a highly successful trial audit on one building and the Forestry Commission were so impressed with the savings that they asked us to do a further six sites. This included some of their regional offices, deer larders and visitor centres. On average we found potential savings of 20% from a range of low cost measures and renewable energy devices. All of the information was presented in two-page reports, as we were aware that most audit reports are full of useless information and non-tailored calculations.

Operating since 1935, EWOS is a leading manufacturer of fish food. They have installed a 5MW biomass steam boiler in their West Lothian factory and employed Your Energy Source for meter placement and design advice. We also completed a Independent Report on Metering Arrangements (IRMA) to check that they complied with RHI regulations.
